MITI Consultative Dialogue 2019: Rebuilding Malaysia Together
Opening remarks by Minister of International Trade and Industry YB Datuk Darell Leiking. YB Presentation to the Industry representative and various association break into 5 parts:

5. Malaysia’s ranking in the Competitiveness Report 2019
After YB presentation, consultative Dialogue 2019 start. Minister (YB Datuk Darell Leiking) and Deputy Minister (YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming ), Secretary General (Dato’ Lokman Hakim Ali), Deputy Secretary General, Industry (Datuk K. Talagavathi), Deputy Secretary General, Trade (Dato’ Sri Norazman Ayob), Deputy Secretary General, Investment (Hairil Yahri Yaacob) are on stage to take the issues raise by the floor.
Some of the associations have previously raised some issues regarding their members’ concerns. Issues are shown on screen for the public viewing. Some of issues are like :
1. Rising Utility Cost – Raised by Steel Industry
2. Extend the Special Reinvestment Allowance
3. Industry 4.0 difficulities to apply for financial assistance for Automation and IR 4.0n especially for SMEs
4. Redesign of New Subang Airport for Aerospace Engineering
5. Lack of Workers with sewing skills – Textile Association
6. Unregulated Accomodation / Airbnb
And many more….there are total of 31 issues submitted before the consultative dialogue.
YB gave a closing by mentioning that MITI Consultative Dialogue will be a bi-annual event for 2020
